Money saving makes with your papercraft scraps!

Do you find yourself with mountains of card offcuts, endless amounts of small scraps of ribbon, stamped images that you never get round to using? I definitely have this problem and I know lots of my crafty friends do too. As a general observation crafters do not like to throw away anything if possible, so why not turn your stash scraps into cards? We often think the cards we make and give must be large but for these no waste cards we are going to create the perfect mini editions. I like to create 5 or 6 different cards to make up a pack and then give them to friends and family as a gift, you can even pop them into a small gift bag for the perfect finish.

Craft Products Used

  • Scrap card
  • Double sided tape
  • Stamps
  • Ink pad
  • Ribbon
  • Twine
  • Embellishments
  • Cutterpillar Pro

Step One

Rummage through your off cuts of coloured card and find some pieces 6” x 3” approx. Score down the center to make mini 3 x 3 “cards.

Step Two

Using your scrap bits of white or cream card cut square pieces 2.75 x 2.75”. You could also die cut some small circle or ovals instead of squares for a bit of variety.
